Nawaz Sharif treated like a schoolboy in India, says Imran Khan
NEI India Film Editing Via Daily Bhaskar Islamabad: Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has said Nawaz Sharif was treated like a schoolboy during his trip to India and questioned his visit to the home of an Indian steel tycoon, saying it reflected the misplaced priorities of the Pakistan Prime Minister.
Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party asked how Sharif could visit the home of Sajjan Jindal with his businessman son Hassan Nawaz when it is clearly a conflict of interest.
Khan pointed out that no western democratic leader does business while in office, as it is a clear conflict of interest.
Khan said that going to the steel magnate's house for tea in New Delhi when he couldn't find time to meet the Hurriyet leaders reflected the misplaced priorities of Prime Minister Sharif.
Speaking to the media outside the Parliament House here, Khan said that by not meeting representatives of the Hurriyat Conference, the prime minister had struck a bargain on Kashmir, Dawn News reported.
He said Sharif was treated like a schoolboy during his trip to India to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony.
In a statement issued by PTI Central Secretariat on Saturday, Khan said it was regrettable that the notion of conflict of interest is totally ignored by the leaders when they are in power, the Nation reported.

NOT RAHUL GANDHI, Congress chooses Mallikarjun Kharge to lead party in Lok Sabha
NEI India Film Editing Via Daily Bhaskar New Delhi: In an unprecedented move, Mallikarjun Kharge, a senior leader from Karnataka, was on Monday named the Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha, in a race in which he has pipped veteran Kamal Nath to lead a 44-member group after its worst-ever performance in the recent elections.
The nomination of Kharge, a Dalit leader and a second term member from Gulbarga, was made by Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who has brushed aside demands that either she or her son Rahul take over as leader of the party in the Lok Sabha, who could be recognised as the Leader of the Opposition.
It is the new Speaker's call to recognise the Congress as main opposition group so that its leader can get the status of Leader of the Opposition as the party does not have 55 MPs, ten per cent of the total strength, to earn the status.
"Congress President Sonia Gandhi has nominated Mallikarjun Kharge, as the Leader of the party in Lok Sabha," party General Secretary in charge of Organisation Janardan Dwivedi announced in the evening.
The decision eliminates Kamal Nath, the senior-most member of the Lok Sabha, who has been elected for a ninth term in the House, and M Veerappa Moily, another former Chief Minister from Karnataka from the leadership race now.
The nomination of a Gandhi-Nehru family loyalist brings to an end the intense speculation going on for over a fortnight about who will hold this crucial position at a time when the party is smarting under it worst-ever defeat.
