watching high octane English Premier League games in a stadium, and
every football fan dreams to see his favorite club live in action. And
soon Indian fans may witness the same thrill of watching top EPL clubs
perform in India. Indian Super League has entered into a pertnership
with the EPL for strategic support and assistance in brand building.
The partnership will not be limited to strategic support, IMG-Reliance
will also be arranging for EPL clubs to play exhibition matches in
India, also exchange programmes will be organized. As reports published
in Mail Today, an official told the newspaper, ‘Yes that’s the part of
the agreement. And some clubs might visit the country soon’. The
official added,’ The EPL will also assist in establishing club
governance, shaping the brand, fan engagement, defining anti corruption
and anti doping policies for the ISL, as well as the joint promotion of
the ISL and Premier League football in India.’
Not only this, talks are on to rope in England’s David Beckham as the ambassador for ISL, however the development could not be officially confirmed, the official said, ‘That is a possibility but it is too premature to confirm.’
The Indian Super League is set to Kick-off in September this year, and the organisers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a success.
India's international connection is getting stronger by the day, Atletico Madrid, co-owners of the Kolkata franchise of ISL, are to play in India next year, talks of an El Clasico match are on and now the EPL sides soon will be gracing the game in our stadiums.
