SHOCKING: Yuvraj Singh’s each run cost R 3.72 lakh to Vijay Mallya!

NEI India Film Editing Daily.bhaskar New Delhi: The seventh edition of cash-rich Indian Premier League came to end on Sunday, with Gautam Gambhir-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beating Kings XI Punjab by three wickets to kick of frenzied celebrations in City of Joy and beyond.
Robin Uthappa was awarded the Orange Cap for top scoring in the competition, while Mohit Sharma earned the Purple Cap for bagging maximum wickets.
IPL 7 also witnessed several lesser known Indian cricketers making a mark, while an army of well-paid big-ticket purchases flattered to deceive. While the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, Sandeep Sharma and Manan Vohra stole the show, big buys Yuvraj Singh, Dinesh Karthik and Kevin Pietersen failed to light up the contest.
Event’s highest-ever purchase, Yuvraj Singh, who went to RCB for a whopping Rs. 14 crore was a big letdown. Though he interspersed his indifferent form with some typically belligerent innings, his larger failures meant Vijay Mallya ended up spending an improbable Rs. 3.72 lakh for every run the southpaw scored.
