quarterfinal clash against Colombia, sealing a 2-1 win to storm into the
semifinal of the World Cup, where they face Germany.

But then in the 78 minute Colombia got a lifeline in form of a penalty kick, when Brazilian keeper Julio Cesar brought down Bacca with a wild challenge in the box. And James Rodriguez didn't take long to make the scoreline 2-1 after that, striking his 6th goal of the tournament.
Colombia then started attacking more fiercely in quest of an equalising goal, in the process injuring striker Neymar as Zuniga rammed him in the back and had to be taken off in a stretcher.
However with each passing minute the hosts could sniff victory and soon the final whistle was blown and Brazil got through to the semifinal of the World Cup defeating Colombia 2-1.
